Project resource planning on a companywide scale provides a basis for having a project run efficiently and reliably produce profits. In the case of DynamNextGen3, there is a shortage of qualified subject matter experts, analysts, and operation engineers on the project. If Dynamic owns a resource planning software, they should take immediate action to ensure it is up to date to prevent continued staff shortages on other projects. Project resource planning should be completed for DynamNextGen3 immediately. In the project resource planning, Rhonda and Sharon should create a phased project approach which identifies important project milestones. Between the phased project approach and project resource planning, a higher percentage certainty finish date should be able to be determined.

3. Create risk and issue assessment for current jobs

Dynamic would greatly benefit from a standardized company risk assessment. Understanding weaknesses and mitigating risks can make projects more resilient to negative impacts. Rhonda needs to compile a complete list of all risks and issues as they currently stand in the DynamNextGen3 and make plans to address each problem. Plans to address the problems should include a responsible party and a date of anticipated completion so the progress can be monitored.

4. Introduce an expectation for clear documentation

Finally, Dynamic needs to emphasize the importance of documentation. Good documentation provides a record of work completed and can also provide protection in a legal case.
