There are several opportunities applied with the implementation of policy towards toddlers with autism. This includes education and information dissemination campaign, which is an important solution to improve the quality of health care awareness towards children suffering from autism. Explaining to the community the significance of awareness limits ignorance as well as mistreatment towards toddlers with autism. The social work role is to coordinate with the local government units in order to establish an intergovernmental agency that aims to provide more programs for toddlers suffering from autism. In this case, the level of ignorance becomes a thing of the past because it seeks to provide a broader understanding about the case of autism to the community. Free psychological services are also applied by the health care personnel to the community can be essential. In this case, the risk of getting involved in discrimination or maltreatment against autistic toddlers can significantly decrease over time (Persico & Napolioni, 2013).

Professional self-awareness is an important procedure applied by psychiatrists, psychologists, and nurses. This is a process wherein the professional starts to provide self-reflection with their past activities that has already been applied to their patients. In this case, the professional will be able to distinguish the most important practice that has been essential to improve their services. The reason is to reflect the past abilities that have been applied to previous cases as well as with the present toddlers with autism. This is to review as well as to reflect the strengths and weaknesses applied to the patient’s health care concern in terms of engaging a more fruitful health care awareness as a way to improve their professional practice. Reflection means that the professionals will start reassessing their professional needs. Evaluating the strengths can be reused for future interventions for children with special needs. For the weaknesses, it is important to review previous cases that create a new style and strategy for the professionals to improve their service.

The therapeutic approach is all about applying interpersonal communication to other toddlers and professionals. This is the process wherein there is an empathetic relationship established between the toddlers and the professionals. Rapport is important because it allow every toddler to engage in a trusting relationship with the mental health facilitators. The result of this particular action is to improve cooperation every time that there is a regular therapeutic intervention applied to the toddler. Toddlers become comfortable with the health care professionals whenever they engage in effective interpersonal relationships. The guardians and parents become delighted when they discover that their child or children starts to cooperate with the psychologists and counselors. This means that the toddlers improve their relationship with other individual to prevent any social isolation practices that are usually observed whenever they are outdoors (Lyal, Schmidt & Hertz-Picciotto, 2014).
