Obama Vs. Romney

Even though Romney and Obama have completely different opinions on how to solve various issues, they are more alike in some ways than it may seem. For example, Romney’s health care plan shares many similar components to Obama’s Affordable Care Act. Both health care plans include insurance aids and offer high risk insurance programs. Obama and Romney are both family men who are currently married and have children. They are also both authors and studied at Harvard University. Neither men served in the military or won their first federal election. Both held a position in their church as advisers to their community. Romney, a Mormon, was a bishop in the Boston area while Obama, a Muslim, was a community organizer in Chicago (Weeks). Overall, both candidates share more common ground with each other than most Americans think.

After viewing both candidates’ positions on various issues, I believe Romney would make a better President for the United States of America. Obama had four years to try and turn the country around and has failed to do so. Approximately 47 million Americans are on food stamps, many are collecting disability, and the nation is fast becoming an entitlement minded society. Under Obama, government regulations have exploded and many small businesses have gone under. The country is deep in debt and the younger generation wonders if they will be lucky enough to find suitable employment after graduating from college. Hopefully the majority of American citizens will recognize the mess we’re in and decide for another change in leadership; a chance to believe in America, and vote for Romney.
