Being a human biology major, I presume to think that it is the best major to upskill and prepare me for the MCAT, as it has a broad background in biological sciences, covering all the pre-med requirements. Being a human biology major also gives me prior exposure to upper level science classes, ones that require rigorous studying, therefore helping me with the necessary study habits I would need for medical school and further years of research I would need to stay up to date with on the job.
The goal I have for this semester is to attain an overall 4.0 GPA. To achieve this goal, I would have to have the right mindset to lead me to the path of success. I would have to believe that I have the capability and space for improvement, staying motivated and working hard. Course load will be challenging and scheduling difficult, but putting the correct amount of time and managing it well will help me reach my long-term goals. I could also always reach out for help when needed. I am fortunate enough to attend a university that provides me with so many available learning resources such as help rooms, free tutoring, learning labs, etc. Making an effort and using the resources that are accessible to me will help me succeed and benefit me in a constructive way. These are all things I could do to adapt effectual habits, ones that would need and be applied to my life for the rest of my career.
