ways he had previously been taught and completely changed his life around through his diet.
Forks Over Knives included a critic’s argument and refuted it well. Connie Diekman, the past president of the American Dietetic Association, still believes dairy and meat are important to a healthy diet. Diekman says, “When you eliminate animal foods from your eating plan you run the risk of inadequate protein content.”. Lee Fulkerson refutes this well by informing viewers about the negative things that come along with animal based nutrients such as clogged arteries and high cholesterol, which is only found in animal based foods.
Before I watched this documentary I was already implementing some of these things into my life. I have been a vegetarian for almost 3 years now and can honestly say I feel healthier mentally and physically from this change. I try to reduce my dairy intake here and there. After watching this I am inspired to put more effort into eating a dairy free diet. Simple changes can go a long way and I find it very important for others to be educated on what they are putting into their bodies and how these foods will affect their health down the road.
Overall, I highly recommend readers to watch Forks Over Knives. It will provide much insight into the foods you are eating and how you can take control of your health through your diet. It is very important to know what refined, processed, and animal based foods do to your body over time so you can be proactive in your own health. This documentary has provided many with factual information, sources of research, and is interesting and easy to understand.
