What are carbohydrates? Carbohydrates, also called sugars, carbohydrates, saccharides or carbohydrates, are major elements in the feed, which are mostly found in sugars, starches and fiber. The main function of carbohydrates is the energy contribution. They are one of the main substances that our body needs, along with fats and proteins.

Carbohydrates are found in a wide variety of foods including bread, beans, milk, popcorn, potatoes, biscuits, noodles, soft drinks, corn or cherry pie find. They also come in a variety of ways. The most common and abundant forms are sugars, starches and fibers.

Fiber is the one type of carbohydrate that does not raise blood sugar in the blood and also helps to have good digestive health and eliminate cholesterol, for example.

Refined sugars provide calories but no vitamins, minerals or fiber. They are called "empty calories" and are an important factor in weight gain.
