One of our worst tragedies was on September 11, 2001. This catastrophe changed our nation forever. Over the years, a lot has been done to improve how this information is shared. Information is shared through all types of agencies from local to state to federal. The information is shared through the National Information Exchange Model, or NEIM. This database is very current, logical and cost effective. This system not only satisfies the needs of law enforcement but it also provides a way to share information with various agencies across the nation. The FBI, local police, state police, court systems, emergency response departments and agencies alike all share information on these systems. “NIEM is a standard of choice that is being deployed across government agencies to facilitate the exchange of information between law enforcement and other disciplines.” (Haslip, 2016)

It is unclear if Uncle Bob was aware that he was wanted in California. It is highly possibly that he wasn’t aware he was in big trouble. I don’t think that he tried to flee and avoid prosecution. If this was the case, he wouldn’t have been speeding. If someone is running from the law, they make sure to follow the law to avoid getting caught. It’s also possible that the charges were filed after he left for his vacation in Florida. However, none of that really matters now. Uncle Bob is in custody and he is going to be transported back to California to face his charges. He will now have to answer for the wrong he has done.
