Summary

In conclusion, this essay has looked at the symbiotic relationship that prevails between celebrities and tabloid newspapers. It explores these two concepts and how they are linked together. It then proceeds to explain how the paparazzi contribute towards creating a coactive relationship between major personalities and tabloid journalism – by bringing their activities and personal details into the limelight. Following this discussion is the debate on whether the actions of paparazzi are in effect an invasion of the privacy of famous individuals or are the press and paparazzi entitled to intimate details of such people on the basis of freedom of speech.

Conclusion

Based on the above arguments presented, I thus believe that the life of celebrities is one filled with public attention, red carpet events and enduring a thousand cameras being shoved towards their faces. Since their occupations are public and they themselves have a personal desire to shine in the spotlight, it is not fair to blame the media and paparazzi for wanting inside information on every aspect of their life ranging from what they eat to what products they use. They are the perpetrators of their own misery and when that befalls in the form of no secrecy in life affairs, the blame should thus be borne by them. In essence, they are not entitled to privacy since they chose a life of this sort where every action of theirs is under scrutiny at all times.
