My act of deviance demonstrated how religion is very tunneled vision. Collectively you will be judged, you will be looked down on, you will be scrutinized, even though you are taught to forgive, do right onto others and behave in a fashion that will be appropriate by gods way of living. In this instance, the parishioners and my family were fueled by the anger of my defiance and completely forgot everything that religion instills in you. I am only speaking from my own personal experience but, the feeling of being out casted dare I say from a community in which thrives in unity and shared ideology really puts your state of belief in perspective. Almost any religion welcomes you with open arms if you chose to live by its beliefs, but just as it welcomes you, it can quickly scold you with harsh words and menacing looks from those who you have wronged. My act of deviance may have opened some sort of devious thoughts in some parishioners however; I do believe that nobody will dare to utter those words after the very obvious reprimanding I received. Religion has a very strong hold on people’s thoughts and it will shape you into behaving accordingly, therefore I strongly believe that the church will carry on and my act of deviance will serve as an example of how you will not getaway with breaking any religious norm.

In conclusion to the partaking of this social deviant act, I summed up that the study of religion incorporates an eclectic range of disciplines, such as following the same views as your community and theology. Some of this may include initiations such as baptisms, communion, prayer, music, venerations, and other aspects of culture. Religions often incorporate symbols, scriptures, and share narratives of origin of life and what our purpose in life should be. When someone from your specific religion breaks one of the norms or try to defy the beliefs, suddenly you violate not only the norms of your community but you defy the divine glory by which we should all abide and live by based on religion. The practice of religion and ethical ideology are tremendously universal which correlate the collective behavior of that specific community.
