which when placed in the formula, it would look like the following 10+8>8. when this step is done you’ll see that is true and the outcome is 18 which is greater than 10. this makes a triangle and i did this through the formula i used for my findings so far

Identification of question I was not able to answer

the question i was not able to answer was to find the probability of Angle B and C because i was not able to understand how to get the probability of the side length B and C

Other investigations i would have done, have i been given more time

a investigation i would have done had i been given more time would probably be using a longer pipe cleaner to determine the difference between a 12 inch pipe cleaner and a 24 inch one

Evaluation and Self Assessment

the difficulty of this from a 1-5 scale ( 1 being easy and 5 being difficult )would be a 3.5 because using the formula to find triangles eventually over the course of this POW became easy and then using the pipe cleaner to make sure if it does make a triangle, but it wasn’t easy at some points because i wasn’t able to find the probability for side lengths B and C

Personal Reaction to problem/opinion of problem

The problem was alright because it was creative along with it being challenging, but it was also fairly easy because it was based of what we learned in class which again was easy due to the formula that we learned in class

Best and Worst parts of the problem

the best part of the problem was when i was doing the triangle using the pipe cleaner and using it as a source to make sure it makes a triangle, i think this was alright because i like hands on projects such as this, i like to learn not by the textbook but by doing something creative such as this, my worst part in this problem was me not being able to find the probability but eventually i found the other conjectures

How the problem could have been made better

I would like to add a question to this problem, this problem will probably go something like this

“ How many Triangles can you make with the side length of B and C, and then change it around to see if other triangles can be formed”

Summary of what i learned in this problem

this POW was alright, i learned many new things about triangles and i now do better using the inequality triangle principle which has helped determine if the triangle was truly a triangle. i used a formula for all my findings to check if it was a triangle. i started using the side lengths 1,2,3 then i forgot that at least two numbers i was supposed to add and i got 3>3 which was not correct because its only greater than its not greater than and equal if it was the equation, it would be true but my views so far on this question is that it’s something new then what i’m used to so far in math, i liked using the pipe cleaner because it’s so fun and it’s a creative way to learn
