I would say oDesk should consider Dashfire’s strategy by employing in-house programmers and also negotiating for stakes in their client businesses. If he is unable to do this, he should employ the services of a lawyer and go with Dashfire. The lawyer facilitates the deal negotiation and the project can start in time. I believe Dashfire have a point to prove in the industry and will commit all the necessary resources to ensure Evertrue is successful. Although Brent has some issues to resolve with Rick but this can be expected from a partnership in any business and should not be a reason to ignore this option.

On going global, Brent should focus on getting his prototype ready and accepted by the association after which he should leverage on the diversity in HBS to introduce the application to other schools around the world after working on patents and rights to ensure that his intellectual property rights are safe. Globalisation involves bringing in people from different backgrounds to inreach the reach of a service across these various backgrounds. Brent should consider a partner or parners from pther regions of the world and also look into customizing Evertrue to fit into various school and environments across the world.
