Working to repair the relationship with the client would be the most important step to stopping a legal and company downfall. The client needs to be assured of the future of the employee, the steps of reprimand, future policies to be put into effect as well as how this experience will shape new employees in the future. The client needs to be reassured that the employee will be spoken to about her attendance and tardiness, and possibly put on administrative probation until the problem has been resolved. The teacher will also be spoken to about how individualized care needs to be given to each client, for that is the job they were hired to do. As for the breach of information during the investigation, that is cause for termination. There is no reason privileged information should be shared unless legal pathways are taken to obtain such information. There will be a new employee contract drawn up to assure a breach will not happen again, once an employee is hired they will have to sign a contract binding them to confidentiality or they will lose their job. New training classes will be given to new and current employees helping to explain employee growth through feedback and confidentiality standards.

The National Organization for Human Services outlines many ethical standards that human service providers must uphold in this profession. According to The National Organization for Human Services (2017) “the fundamental values of the human services profession include respecting the dignity and welfare of all people; promoting self-determination; honoring cultural diversity; advocating for social justice; and acting with integrity, honesty, genuineness and objectivity” (Ethical Standards for Human Service Professionals). The following outlined ethical standards can be used to determine a procedure for staff to follow in the future:

- STANDARD 1 Human service professionals recognize and build on client and community strengths.

- STANDARD 8 Human service professionals protect the integrity, safety, and security of client records. Client information in written or electronic form that is shared with other professionals must have the client's prior written consent except in the course of professional supervision or when legally obliged or permitted to share such information.

- STANDARD 15 Human service professionals provide a mechanism for identifying client needs and assets, calling attention to these needs and assets, and assisting in planning and mobilizing to advocate for those needs at the individual, community, and societal level when appropriate to the goals of the relationship.

- STANDARD 21 Human service professionals respond appropriately to unethical and problematic behavior of colleagues. Usually, this means initially talking directly with the colleague and if no satisfactory resolution is achieved, reporting the colleague's behavior to supervisory or administrative staff.

- STANDARD 23 To the extent possible, human service professionals adhere to commitments made to their employers.

- STANDARD 25 When a conflict arises between fulfilling the responsibility to the employer and the responsibility to the client, human service professionals work with all involved to manage the conflict.

- STANDARD 27 Human service professionals know the limit and scope of their professional knowledge and offer services only within their knowledge, skill base, and scope of practice.

- STANDARD 36 Human service professionals hold a commitment to lifelong learning and continually advance their knowledge and skills to serve clients more effectively. (National Organization for Human Services, 2017).

These ethical guidelines will help ensure that none of these issues will happen again. These guidelines will state a multitude of procedures for staff to follow, what responsibilities the employee must the client and their privileged information, and identify how the employee needs to conduct themselves in all matters pertaining to the job and the client.
