As we read, in Escuintla is very difficult to get bored. It is an amazing place to go, specially in summer vacations. It’s hot climate permits to do many things. We think that in this department kids, adults and even old people can pass unforgettable adventures and learn a lot of Guatemala’s lifestyle and culture. It's places are magic and beautiful with a great richness of plants and animals. If you are stressed, Escuintla can be what you need for get relax and charged with good energies.

Escuintla is also known for having so much to offer among wood work, metals, baskets, leather and ceramics. In the last years this have been growing so much thanks to the tourism that have come to Escuintla that they even put a school for it. As we can see, this has help a lot economically because it has given more jobs to people and other way to rise the name of Guatemala.

Escuintla is a department full of culture and traditions. We do not often listen about Escuintla’s traditions, but as we investigated, we noticed that it is as rich as the rest of the country. First, the local fairs promote culture and the development of art. In those activities local people can participate, and develop their abilities in the literary contests, games, and sports.The religious celebration is the most important activity in the tradition aspect. People consider this celebration a very important one in which they make processions and dances. In our opinion, this activity also helps in the conservation of Guatemalan culture and fosters people to share with family and friends in a healthy way.

As we can see, Escuintla is more than beach and ocean, it has a variety more to offer. This department helps a lot in the country’s economy by the sugar production. Beautiful handicrafts, such as silver and gold weaving, are done by very creative people. In Escuintla you can find a couple of traditions full of interesting history and an incredible culture. As it is known, Escuintla is rich in beautiful places, amazing landscapes, and a lot of things to do, mentioning two impressive volcanoes, and of course the incomparable beaches full of activities and delicious food.

Escuintla, the gate to the Pacific Ocean, will ever be one of the destinies that worths it to visit.
