I say that because of the way he began talking about the people and how that we are unable to work alone. In the instance of making a pencil, I get the facts from that. It is when he began to say that we are nothing and we can do nothing on our own it when it began to bother me. Yes, we all have to work together in order to achieve something, but we are independent entities and there are some things in life that we are able to accomplish for ourselves. He went on to say that we cannot think for ourselves. If God made and created us, as he stated, don’t you think and believe He can gave us the mindset to think and do for ourselves. He would not create us and leave us as an empty pitcher before a full fountain ready to be filled. God left us with something and that is the will to think and do something for ourselves. Reed was speaking of in order to do what we have to do.
Every man is incentive driven. We are all after something. When we go to work daily, we are seeking something. Maslow’s 1st Law is the Law of self-preservation. We are all reward seekers. Some of want that instant gratification, while some of us just take our time and slowly wait for something to come to us. Regardless, we all seek after something.
The second part of this, yes, I agree, we all need one another. We are not in this world alone. We need to bond together to make something happen. God created us to multiply and to replenish this earth. He created us for a reason, and that reason is do good and not evil. We are profound people are here to do something. That something is up to us.
Would I read this again, yes I would. Would I read this with an open mind, yes I will. I enjoyed it to the fullest. Thank you Mr. Reed for writing something of this nature and requiring me to put my thinking cap on. For this, I am eternally grateful.
