Recommendations and implementations
In my opinion, the current strategy can gain success by doing many changes and ensuring this strategy’s success. Robin Hood should look first at the organization of the band to build off the strength it has. He should structure the band again and allow someone in charge of curbing the number of new recruits and seek other ways of finding provisions for his men. A good idea could be eliminating candidates through a screening process and creating a training. First of all, to be allowed in the band, candidates should have a particular skill to enter. Moreover, the candidates should be disciplined and good workers. On the other hand, the lack of food and provisions the organization faces can be solved by recruiting people such as farmers to focus properly on these issues. Also, since revenues are in decline, the more money they save the more beneficial would be in the future. Once all this is done, he should take the big risk of assisting the barons in their mission to rescue King Richard and restore back in power.
Lastly, by establishing this and other guidelines such as recruiting new members with farming skills, the group will be better able to control the growth of the organization as well as better protect against spies. To implement the plan effectively, Robin Hood needs to immediately send some of the new men home, so as not to attract any more attention to the group and spend more time with the remaining members. By combining different efforts to fix the issues with training, recruitment, and discipline, the group will be better prepared. Moreover, decentralization of the group would help in these areas and allow Robin to better organize the group’s growth. With breaking up the group into smaller groups with one core central location in Sherwood Forest, discipline will be easily implemented and the group will be better prepared to defend against attacks from the Sheriff and his men.
